BALL VALVE BSP
TruDesign Ball Valve /s are designed and made in New Zealand for marine applications above and below the water line. They comply with ISO 9093-2 and ABYC H-27 and are certified by Bureau VERITAS and IMCI.
- Manufactured from a glass-reinforced Nylon composite – High strength, tough, and lightweight.
- Immune to corrosion & electrolysis – No corrosion or breakages, increased safety.
- Electrically non-conductive. There is no electrical bonding.
- Suitable for all hull types – aluminum, steel, wood, or FRP.
- The ball and sealing rings utilize a PTFE polymer to ensure smooth action and minimal fouling of the internal ball.
- The Ball Valve can be locked in the closed position to comply with toilet waste outlet regulations.
- Large operating range – Suitable for all marine conditions from -40°C to +110°C.
- Available in both BSP and NPS thread forms.
- Can be used in Engine Rooms.
- “T” Handle or “Lever” Handle options.
- Handle Identification Tags available to identify Ball Valve Functions easily.
- U.V. resistant – No degradation from the sun’s ultraviolet rays.
- 100% leak tested before leaving the factory.
Glass Reinforced Nylon Ball-Valve Material
The body of the Ball-Valves is manufactured in glass-reinforced nylon composite with high impact and tensile strength resulting in a lightweight unit, free from corrosion and electrolysis issues. The ball and sealing rings utilize a PTFE polymer to ensure a smooth action, and continuous ease of operation over many years. The Ball Valve is available in both BSP and NPS Parallel thread forms and can be locked in the closed position for use on toilet waste outlets.
